About ABS

Heat resistant and machinable but warps; needs an enclosure and ventilation.

Getting good results with Bambu Lab ABS

  • Start near the middle of the range (255°C) and print a temperature tower to find your printer's sweet spot.
  • Faster printing needs a hotter nozzle; slow, detailed prints look best near the low end of the range.
  • Use an enclosure and keep drafts away to prevent warping and layer splits.
  • Dry it (80°C for 8 h) if you hear popping, see extra stringing, or the surface turns rough.

Plan a print with the print cost calculator or convert meters to grams with the filament converter. Always check the label on your spool, since makers update their recommendations.
